The HDH-4400ED allows quick, easy and complete erasure of hard drives when used in conjunction with a Garner Eliminator CDS-4400ED conveyor belt degausser. Simply place the hard drive in the HDH-4400 tray and set it on the conveyor belt. When used with the Eliminator CDS-4400ED the center platter automatically rotates back and forth while passing through the magnetic field. This rotation is necessary in order to completely demagnetize the high coercivity magnetic particles which store the information on the hard drive platters.
